From National Weather Service:
Please remain weather aware throughout the day and have multiple reliable ways to receive warning information if things do come together.
What you can do:
* Know your safe place and review your severe weather plans now (school, work, home, etc.).
* Have multiple ways to receive warning information and make sure you have ways that will WAKE YOU UP overnight!
* Be prepared, not scared
Here is what we know:
* Multiple rounds of potentially severe thunderstorms throughout today through early Thursday morning
* All threats (damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, flash flooding) are possible. Flash flooding threat is higher for locations that have already seen a lot of rain this week or see multiples rounds of rainfall today (mainly along and north of I-40).
* Timing is highly uncertain!!! Storms through most of today will be scattered (but still could be impactful!) A main line of storms will likely move through overnight, which everyone will see (damaging wind threat highest with this round!)
We want to emphasize that this will likely not be a one and done day. There is a potential for multiple rounds throughout today and well into the overnight hours!
