Mrs. Sherry Marie Perkins Watson, age 61, of Sparta, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in the emergency room of St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta.
Sherry was born April 19, 1965, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She will be fondly remembered for making her delicious chocolate candies and for her love of the beach, especially when enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee. However, everything in life was secondary to the love Sherry had for her family. She cherished spending time with each family member, especially those that knew her as Mammaw.
Sherry is lovingly survived by her husband of 30 years, Dan Watson

Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family received friends after 12 pm on Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Perry Clayton officiated.
Hunter Menser, Justin Daniels, Randy Perkins, Christopher White, Tommy Clayton and Tim Clayton served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
