Shirley Ann Kirby Poston, 80, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 24, 2020, at Signature Healthcare of Monteagle.
Mrs. Poston was born May 3, 1940, in Quebeck, to James Willard Kirby and Jewell Lee Jackson Kirby.
She was a retired Levi's factory worker. She also worked in a few shirt factories.
Mrs. Poston was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 14 years, Carlos Lee "Cowboy" Poston Sr.; brother, John W. Kirby; and stepdaughter, Barbara Graham.
Survivors include her daughter, Ramona Curtis and husband Carlon, of Quebeck; stepchildren, Carlos Poston Jr. and wife Mary, of Florida, Brenda Roberts and husband Joe Lee, of McMinnville, Charles Richard Poston and wife Darlene, of Sparta; uncle, James Jackson and wife Joan, of Maryville; niece, Shellie Yates, of Sparta; nephews, Johnnie Kirby, of Doyle, James Kirby, of Cookeville; special friends, Alene Rigsby, of Doyle, Carol Rigsby, of McMinnville, Ronald and Sue Hill, of Smithville; and several cousins.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Oct. 28, 2020, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Oct. 28, at the funeral home. John Murphy will officiate.
