Shirley Graham Jones, 72, of Smyrna and a native of White County, passed away Saturday April 29, 2023, at Stonecrest Medical Center.
Shirley was born Jan. 8, 1951, in Spencer, to Roy Houston and Allie Lillie Belle Graham.
She was a former daycare worker, but most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker. Shirley was a warrior as she was a two-time cancer survivor. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family, Shirley loved butterflies, admiring flowers, and watching the Hallmark and Lifetime networks in her quiet time. Her passion in life was being grandma to her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, Bill, and David Graham, and a sister, Hassie Lee Bradshaw.
Shirley is loving survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Jones; children, Kimberly Jones, Johnny (Amber) Jones, Kristy (Tim) Van Dolen, Matt (Amanda) Jones; grandchildren, Destiny, Kane, Hunter Smith, Riley Allison, Logan, Lillian, Rosalie, Emily, Damien, and Anna Jones; sister, Marie Wallace; and brother, Ronald Graham.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., May 4, 2023, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Old Union Cemetery. Randall Kirby will officiate. The family will receive friends after 11 a.m., May 4, at the funeral home.
Chad Davis, Michael Graham, Darrell Graham, Jamie Graham, Timmy Brown, and Greg Williams will serve as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
