Teresa Darlene Green Young, 68, of Sparta, passed away June 26, 2025, at her residence.

Teresa was born March 14, 1957, in Van Buren County to Fred Lesley and Emogene Wilson Green.

She loved to collect apple memorabilia. She loved and cared about all of her family and had a special place in her heart for Paislee who kept her going with the longevity that she had. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working with her plants with her boys. Teresa was an active member of the Pentecostal Church and was so appreciative of the support from the church through all types of hardship. Teresa will be greatly missed by all that knew her and her heartfelt demeanor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Merrill Young, who died September 26, 2023, and Kenneth Young Sr.; granddaughter, Avery Rena Cornelius; brothers Lynn, Freddie, and Johnny Green; grandparents, William S. and Ova Doney Green; and brothers-in-law, F.L. Young, Leonard Young, Steve Young, and Darrell Mabe.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Michael Conley-Young) Young Jr., Regina (J.R.) Cole, Trinity Cornelius, Thristin Young, Zach Miller, all of Sparta, Shawn (Tia) Young, of Cookeville; grandchildren, Paislee Kay Cornelius, Cody Baker, Journey Harper, Dalton (Julie) Baker, Dustin (Jessica) Baker; great-grandchildren, Nalla Baker, Elliana Ritter, Beau Baker; brother, David (Teresa) Green, of Sparta; sisters, Sonya Mabe, of Rock Island, Phyllis (Jason) Holcomb, of Sparta, Bridgette Brock, of Smithville, Kathy Young, of Sparta; brothers-in-law, Harold Young, James Richard (Nelda) Young, Gordon (Barbara) Young, James L. (Judith) Young; sisters-in-law, Mary Evelyn Flatt, Linda Mooneyham, Linda Young, Betty Young, Hattie (Jack) Young, Frances (Roger) Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 1 p.m., June 28, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Michael Weedman officiated.

Cody Baker, Dustin Baker, Dalton Baker, Jackson Baker, Zach Miller, and Pete Gilley served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Conley-Young and Shawn Young.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
