The fierce urgency of now

As I write this, America’s cities are being destroyed by a seemingly unending cycle of hatred and violence. Even when police officers are allowed to make arrests, corrupt district attorneys, many of them having won their race for the position with funding from George Soros, a leftwing billionaire radical, refuse to prosecute the criminals, emboldening them.

We have teachers, textbooks, and classrooms promoting the idea that white children are somehow “born” racist and must ask/beg for forgiveness for their transgressions.

Pride in our country and all its accomplishments is being called foolish and naïve as mainstream American institutions mislead millions about our history and our founding.

I could go on and on calling out these terrible activities that are occurring in broad daylight! Those that seek to destroy our country no longer work from the shadows, with their names and faces hidden!

The Democrat presidential candidates are loudly proclaiming various pieces of this foolish, wrong, and dangerous ideology.

Our leaders are attempting to corrupt honest voting through untested methods, such as voting through the mail, even while they know their roles contain thousands of voters inaccurately listed that would cause ballots to be sent to many households where the voter no longer lives, allowing those who would vote fraudulently to do so.

“The fierce urgency of now.” Do you remember that phrase? This was part of a speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as it continues below.

“We can no longer afford to worship the god of hate or bow before the altar of retaliation. The oceans of history are made turbulent by the ever-rising tides of hate. History is cluttered with the wreckage of nations and individuals that pursued this self-defeating path of hate.

“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1967, the year before he died.

The Walmart company had a saying, “sense of urgency,” the idea being the amount of time that went by from the time you knew of a problem, until the time you fixed it. Your quickness in fixing whatever was wrong was a measure of your commitment to the job.

For the first time in my lifetime, people are afraid to put political stickers on their cars. It pains me to hear Democrats talk about “voter suppression” and “voter intimidation” when various and sundry supporters of Republican candidate get their cars keyed and worse for their Trump stickers.

Forget all of that stuff.

We have, for the first time in my life, a major party in the USA that refuses to condemn looting, burning, and vandalism on American city streets.

We have their most extreme congressional members growing their numbers. These people spout things about our country that are sad to hear and more often than not, untrue. The point is, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, don’t you think you ought to be safe from the mob as you live your life? I hear a newscaster (lady) said a similar working professional such as herself, two weeks in a row, was accosted by different random homeless men who would try to grab her. And the police would drive him about six blocks away, both times. After being accosted the second time, while walking with her little girl, she called her husband; they packed up their stuff and moved to the suburbs with the in-laws! That kind of thing, combined with the China virus, is going to make people move to the suburbs - now!

Look up the amount of New York apartments available. It is something like 13,000. Ditto for the crowded cities of California. Rental prices are steadily going down and ditto for prices on housing of all kinds. Americans are voting with their feet to abandon these Democrat-run dangerous places to live. The sad thing is the many business and apartment owners that cannot afford to move and must attempt to “ride out” this terrible situation.

Let me share with you this description of the British people by Delingpole in the Breitbart.com website and realize how closely we are following in their footsteps.

“Britain, on the other hand, is an embarrassing mess: a nation of snitches and cry-bullies, tinpot fascists and mask-compliant bedwetters, fattened and softened like the doomed rabbits in Cowslip’s warren on free handouts (courtesy of their future grandchildren), terrified not just of going back to work but even of venturing into shops and pubs, increasing the likelihood as each day of cowering inertia passes that Britain’s economic recovery will look less like a V and more like an L with a very, very long bottom.”

When you look at everything I have mentioned, and much I did not have room for, is there any doubt in your mind how these battle lines are drawn? Can we even continue to exist as a nation if we teach our people to hate their country and take to the street to riot and burn, kill, and steal? And more importantly, perhaps, should we?

Think about this phrase from MLK

“In this unfolding conundrum of life and history there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity.”

Will we be the generation that witnesses America’s descent into socialism/communism? Will we be the generation that refused to make the hard choices and condemn wrong actions when we see them and exact punishment from the perpetrators? It is long past time that we do these things and so much more. Or will we, as MLK so eloquently said, be left “standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity?”
