Thomas Richard Miller, "Pa," 69, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away at home peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, surrounded by family.
He was born on Friday, October 26, 1956, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Tommy Lee and Dimple Jean Miller. He was the husband of the late Virginia Diana Miller. He was a retired machine operator.
Thomas enjoyed being outside in the garden, sitting on his porch, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his son: Robert Miller; and beloved pet: Rosie.
Thomas is survived by his son: Frankie (Carrie) Day of Sparta, TN; daughter: Jessica (Darrell) Moore of Sparta, TN; granddaughters: Kaylen Day of Sparta, TN and Megan Moore of Sparta, TN; grandson: Daylon Moore of Sparta, TN; great-grandson: Wilder Moore of Sparta, TN; brothers: Charles (Dena) Miller and Farron (Melinda) Miller of Sparta, TN; sisters-in -law: Linda (George) Underwood of Byron, GA and Denise (Hartford) Daniels of Sparta, TN; nieces, nephews, and many friends, neighbors, and cousins.
Pallbearers are Derek Hunter, Logan Bandy, Ian Bandy, Kim Miller, Randy Graham, Jerry O'Connor, Daylon Moore, and Eric Hutchinson.
A service will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1 PM with burial to follow at Old Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5 PM until 8 PM, and again on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 12 PM until the time of service.
