Timothy Edward Ross, 70, was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, to James and Dorothy Ross, and passed away at his home in Walling, Tennessee, on July 31, 2025, after a long battle from complications with emphysema.

Timothy Ross was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, friend, and a true Tennessee fisherman.

Tim met the love of his life, Selina, at age 21, and they married a year-and-a-half later. They shared a beautiful life together for almost 50 years where they enjoyed traveling together, going to auto shows where they would showcase their ‘65 Chevy Pick Up, and enjoying time at home with Ginger and Ava and watching nature around them.

Tim was a longtime employee at Wagner/Federal Mogul, where he worked as a mechanic for over 30 years. He was known for his serious demeanor as he ran some of the hardest machines in the plant with detailed precision and managed a tight ship with those that worked under him, while maintaining close relationships.

From a young age, Tim found solace and joy on various lakes and rivers. He had a special connection to Guntersville, Alabama, where he spent countless hours casting his line and sharing his passion with Selina’s father, whom he lovingly referred to as “Dad." He didn’t just fish for sport; he connected with nature, with the rhythm of the water, and with the simple, serene pleasures of life. He understood the importance of patience and perseverance and that was a valuable lesson that served him well in all aspects of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Ross, and mother Dorothy Ross, and father-in-law Kerlee Adcock and mother-in law-Barbara Adcock.

He is survived by his wife, Selina Ross, of Walling; one sister, Sheryl Gregg, of Vermillion, Ohio; two brothers, Tom (Laura) Ross, of Burton, Ohio, Terry (Susan) Ross, of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 4, 2025, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Chaplain Tom Simic officiated. Interment followed the service at Spring Hill Church Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers were Phillip Adcock, Mike Anderson, Jay Anderson, Chris Dodd, Mark Stone, and David Young

Though he may have left us, his spirit will live on in every sunrise over the lake, every ripple on the water, and in each of our hearts.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
