Tractor struck in Crossville Highway crash

A Crossville Highway two-vehicle crash left a Chevrolet Cruz in a ditch after it struck a tractor in the rear.

According to a report from Tennessee Highway Patrol, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Dec. 5, 2023, two vehicles were both traveling east, on Crossville Highway.

A 2009 John Deere tractor, driven by 52-year-old James William Dicintio, was in the right lane. As a 2015 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by Rita Gail Neal, 52, came around the curve, it came upon the John Deere tractor and struck it in the rear. The Chevrolet Cruz then left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.

Dicintio was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Neal was also wearing a seatbelt but, according to the report, was injured.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
