U.L. LaFever, 76, of DeKalb County, passed away May 3, 2022, at Stones River Saint Thomas Hospital, in Woodbury.

Mr. LaFever was born July 1, 19845, in DeKalb County, to Verble LaFever and Lula Dunn LaFever.

Mr. LaFever had retired as the owner/operator of Center Hill Sports Marine and was a member of the Rescue Squad.   

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Dana Purkey LaFever.

Funeral service was 2 p.m., May 7, 2022, at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Smithville, with burial in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tim Bumbalough officiated.

Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Helen Perry LaFever, of Smithville; son, Eugene LaFever, of Sparta; granddaughter, Sahara "Sara Beth" LaFever, of Smithville; sister, Louisa (Jack) Phelps, of Nashville; brother, Calvin Urias LaFever (Merle Sandlin), of Smithville; and sister-in-law, Sue (Jimmy) Bryson, of Donelson.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
