John Robert Guy, age 75, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Murfreesboro.
Born on December 22, 1950, in Doyle, Tennessee, John was the son of the late Willis and Maudie Guy. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for his family was evident throughout his life.
John shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Debbie Guy. Together, they built a life centered on faith, hard work, and family. As a contract painter in the construction industry, John was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his craft, and the pride he took in every job he completed.
Above all else, John cherished his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, who brought great joy and meaning to his life. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Debbie, John leaves behind his children, Alisha Young, Valerie Bok, William Guy, and Tony Guy; a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A life well lived and a man deeply loved, John's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
