Lillian Marie Woody Humphrey, age 78, of Walling, TN, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Humphrey was born on October 17, 1947, in Monterey, TN, to the late Floyd and Rettie Trisdale Woody. Mrs. Humphrey was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the library. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Humphrey, three sisters; Ruth Bryant, Louise Henry, and Dora Mae Qualls, six brothers; James Carl, Raymond, Homer, Jimmy, Joe, Floyd Woody, and one special brother, Donald Woody.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Doyle Melton, one grandson, Stephen Melton, and granddaughter Amanda Melton. One great-grandson, Ethan Melton, one great-granddaughter, Emma Melton, and one special brother/nephew, James Woody. Several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Spring Hill Baptist Church at 11 am with burial to follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
