Judy Charlene Sullivan, age 77, of Doyle, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at NHC HealthCare of Sparta.
She was born May 18, 1949, in Sparta, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Charles Payne and the late Melvie Simmons Payne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Payne.
Survivors include her son, David Howell of Doyle, TN; daughter, TaLonna Duke (Billy) of Doyle, TN; grandson, Jonah Duke of Doyle, TN; brother, Tony Payne (Donna Nichols) of Sparta, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
She was such a cool mom, an artist, a poem writer, a story writer, a cook, a top-notch food preserver, a seamstress, a professional caregiver, and had a sense of humor that was irresistible. Above all, though a spectacular mom, friend, and confidant. Heaven got even more heavenly when Mom arrived this weekend. We love you forever, Mom.
Funeral Services were held at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Minister James Nash. Entombment followed in the Calvary Mausoleum located in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family welcomed friends for visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers who served were Jerry Nash, Jason Wright, Billy Duke, Jonah Duke, David Clouse, and Mitchell Kreis.
