Vonda Sharon Jones, 78, formerly of Smithville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Lebanon, Tennessee.
She was born on Friday, June 25, 1948, in Sparta, Tennessee; she was the daughter of the late Vergil Johnson and the late Lena Brown Johnson.
In addition to her parents, Vonda is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Jones, and grandson, Adam Lee Rutledge.
She is survived by her sons: Paul Thomas (Mindy) Luna of Smithville, TN, and Phillip Bennie (Alicia) Luna of Quebeck, TN; daughters: Paula Sharon Webber of Smithville, TN, and Pamela Faye (Jr.) Rutledge of McMinnville, TN; sisters: Elega Hobbs, June Springer, and Sherry Mooneyham; grandchildren: Caleb Luna, Jessie Davis, William Harris, Andrew Rutledge, and several great-grandchildren.
Vonda loved to attend church and sing gospel music with her family.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10 AM at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
