Wanda Faye Blackwell Troglen, 77, of Sparta, passed away Aug. 17, 2025, at her residence.
Wanda was born May 5, 1948, in Sparta, Tennessee. She was one of 11 children born to William Carson and Jessie Estelle Griffin Blackwell.
Wanda retired as a housekeeper for White County Hospital. She enjoyed her retirement years watching Gunsmoke and her other favorite westerns. However, her greatest joy was being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by infant twin sisters, Jeanette and Joann Blackwell; sister, Eva Nell Graham; and brothers, Billy and Harold Blackwell.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her son, Shawn (Donna) Troglen; granddaughter, Tori (Dawson) Sapp; great-granddaughter, Ansin Sapp; three sisters, Janice (Willie) Miller, Inetta (Ron) Taylor, Brenda (Scott) Fullerton; and brothers, Waymon (Linda) Blackwell and Jerry (Charlene) Blackwell.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Aug. 20, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Plainview Cemetery, in the Cassville community. Gary McBride officiated.
Ron Taylor, Jerry Blackwell, Jason Miller, Dawson Sapp, and Scott Fullerton served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
