Cadence Dishman has a reputation around White County High School of striving for excellence in everything she does.

Dishman aspires to become a speech and audio pathologist and helping students improve themselves and reach for goals that will help them succeed on their own paths. After doing her due diligence and researching schools and going on several college tours, Dishman has settled on heading to the University of Tennessee Knoxville as the next step in achieving her own goals.

Dishman’s work ethic transcends the classroom and academics. A four-year veteran of the Warriorette soccer team, Dishman spent one season as captain. In addition, she has spent time helping younger athletes learn the sport as both a coach and a referee in the YMCA’s youth soccer program.

In addition to soccer, Dishman has enjoyed being a part of White County High School’s choir and theater programs, broadening her high school experiences and giving her opportunities to express herself creatively. She has also spent numerous hours involved in the school’s work-based learning problem ensuring that she has set herself up for success in her future career.

“Cadence is a shining example of integrity, diligence, and dedication,” Kaye Dyer, who teaches CTE classes for those students who are pursuing a career in teaching, said. “Her unwavering commitment to excellence and steadfast work ethic have made her an ideal student and a pleasure to have in class.”
