Willard Brock, 63, of Smithville, passed away Nov. 20, 2022, at the Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital emergency room.
He was born April 12, 1959, to Corena Ashburn Brock and Willis “Mutt” Brock.
He served for 29 years in the Army National Guard and worked in construction.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Alma Meekins, and his grandparents, James Willie and Sarah Magdalene Brock and Allie and Virda Ashburn.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Brock, of Smithville; daughters, Laura (Jon) Foutch, of Liberty, Renee (David) Close, of Watertown; granddaughters, Kelsey (Brandon) Pyles, of Liberty, Alexandria (Kyle) Smith, of Knoxville; grandsons, Elijah (Baleigh) Foutch, of Liberty, Benjamin and Evan Close, of Watertown; great-granddaughters, Miah Johnson, Mai Lynn Foutch, both of Liberty; great-grandson, Knox Pyles, of Liberty; mother, Corena Brock, of Sparta; and brother, Jerry Brock of Sparta.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Nov. 23, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel, in Smithville, with burial in Plainview Cemetery, with military honors. Bro. Tim Judd officiated.
Memorial donations may be made to the DeKalb County Veterans Association.
