Willie Reed England, a treasured soul whose kindness and warmth illuminated the lives of all who knew him, passed away peacefully, on Sept. 9, 2025, in Perris, California.
Born on Oct. 11, 1938, in Sparta, Tennessee, Willie’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love, a deep faith, and an infectious joy that he generously shared with others.
Willie’s life was a testament to the power of love and commitment. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy England. Together, they built a life rich in laughter and shared moments, creating a legacy of love that would be carried on by their children, Sonia “Salvador” Suffle, Penny “Joe” Ortega, Jeff “Sylvia” England, and Kimberly “Louisa” England. Willie’s joy multiplied with the arrival of each of his grandchildren, Nathan, Chelsea, Matthew, Salvador, Daniel, Andrew, Johnathan, Ryan, Nikki, and Shelby was further enriched by the birth of his great-grandchildren, Lana, Bryson, Esme, Seth, Donovan, Makailynn, Paisley and Briggs. He was a brother to Samuel, Joe, Dianne, and Minnie.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Annabelle, and his grandson, Robert.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Willie’s work ethic and sociable nature were evident throughout his career. For over 26 years, he built a reputation as a reliable and dedicated truck driver, a role he embraced with characteristic enthusiasm. Following his time on the road, Willie found joy in his role as a Walmart door greeter in the cities of Baldwin Park, Temecula, and Perris. Over 11 years, his friendly demeanor and genuine care for others turned simple greetings into countless cherished interactions, making him a beloved figure in the community.
A man of faith, Willie’s Christian beliefs were the cornerstone of his life. He lived his convictions through his actions, always striving to be a beacon of hope and a source of comfort to those around him. His love for socializing earned him the affectionate title of “social butterfly,” and his passion for country music and guitar playing brought joy to many gatherings. Willie’s identity as a family man was undeniable. The morals and values he upheld and instilled in his family shaped a legacy of integrity and kindness.
Willie was the epitome of a true gentleman, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a word of encouragement. His thoughtfulness extended beyond his immediate circle, touching the lives of friends and strangers alike. Those who had the privilege of knowing Willie will remember him as a man whose actions spoke volumes about the depth of his character.
