Anita Ann Smith Hunter, 69, of White House, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord, on June 1, 2024.

Anita was born July 8, 1954, to William E. and Phyllis Smith.

Anita was a long-time employee of the Kroger Co. as a department manager where she retired after 35 years.

Anita loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She also enjoyed her and her husband’s many trips to Gatlinburg to visit with friends and take in the beautiful mountain scenery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Phyllis Smith; brother, Randy Smith; brother in-law, Bruce Richardson; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thad and Jean Hunter.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Thad Allensworth Hunter II; daughters, Amy (Shane) Heath, Sarah (Jason) Yott; stepchildren, Mandy (Dan) Glick, Chad (Mary Helon) Hunter; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Heath, Shayna (Dyson) Reece, Amia Heath, Dominique Nichols, Maddux Yott, Erin (James) Nichols, Paiden Glick, Caleb Glick, Gabriel Glick, Bailey Hunter, Blaine Hunter, Atley Hyde; great-grandchildren, Smith Reece, Jeremiah Nichols, Kysen Davison, Kaden Davison, K’Nyzley Davison; sister, Linda Richardson; sister-in-law, Vickie (Bobby) Holbrooks; and many loved nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., June 6, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Eastland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m., June 6, at the funeral home. Steve Qualls will officiate.

Maddux Yott, Dyson Reece, Bryan Richardson, Chris Adams, Owen Adams, Griffin Adams, and Wesley Young will serve as pallbearers.
