Early mornings, log runs, and constant dedication have defined Noel Revange’s high school career. As a senior at White County High School, Noel has become a reliable and hardworking athlete for both the track and cross-country programs.
Noel first got involved with running during his freshman year, joining the track team, quickly discovering a passion for distance events and the challenge of pushing his limits.
Shortly later, Noel joined the cross-country team in his junior year and has run since.
Noel participates in many long-distance events like the 400- and 800-meter dashes, the 4x2 and 5000-meter runs for cross country.
During Noel's cross-country season running 5000 meters, having a personal record of 26 minutes and 42 seconds.
On the other hand, in his track seasons prior to his upcoming senior year, Noel has his current personal records of 59.3 seconds in the 400-meter dash, a 2-minute and 53-second 800-meter dash, and, within the 4x2, he subbed in a 1:56.
He also competes in other events, like long jump, where he currently jumps 15-5.5, and discus, where he last threw 75-1.5.
Outside of these sports, Noel likes to participate in recreational basketball and also occasionally plays pickleball to continue to stay active.
Balancing multiple events through the long seasons like track and cross country requires athletes to stay disciplined, where Noel said, “I focus on improving my time from the previous meet, and if I fall short of it, I use it to motivate me to work harder in the following meet.”
Noel has also set some goals for himself for this upcoming track season, where he said, “My goal is to make it to state and set personal records in all my events and be able to draw more attention to the White County High School track team and help improve our funding for this year and following years.”
For Noel, reaching state would not only be a personal achievement but also leave an impact on the track program that he’s been a part of for the last four years as a whole.
Running has taught Noel the importance of staying committed, resilient, and persevering to long-term goals, lessons he carries both on and off the track.
Through years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work, Noel Revange has made a lasting impact on the White County High School track and cross-country programs.
As he enters his final high school season, he looks to continue improving and finish his high school career strong.
