Billy Joe Farley, 84, of Sparta, passed away Nov. 8, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Farley was born April 4, 1936, in White County, to Claude Paul Farley and Ethel Nash Farley.
He was a mechanic and owned his own service station, along with farming in his spare time. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Farley was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Carl Farley, Willous Farley, Roy Farley; four sisters, Lyera Ann Kinnard, Mildred Wheeler and infants sisters, Margaret Farley and Ruth Farley.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee Hodge Farley; son, Carey Farley; daughter, Serena Farley (Henry) Faust; three grandchildren, Keely Faust, Tegan Faust, Rex Farley; brother, Claude Paul Farley; and two sisters, Helen Dodson and Mary Allen
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Nov. 11, 2020, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in the Nash Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Nov 10, at the funeral home.
