McMinnville resident and Sparta native Jeffrey Lee McPeak, age 69, was born July 6, 1954, and died Jan. 22, 2024, at Alive Hospice, in Murfreesboro, following a brief illness.
A United States Army and United States Navy veteran, retired nurse from Alvin C. York Veterans’ Administration Medical Center, in Murfreesboro, and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Joe L. and Dora M. Wigington McPeak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe E. and Martha Cole McPeak and Oakley Wigington and Lavina Chandler Wigington.
Mr. McPeak is survived by two sons, Christopher L. McPeak, of Janesville, Wisconsin, Michael K. McPeak, of Porter, Texas; three grandchildren, Erina, Ciara, and Lila McPeak, all of Texas; siblings, Kerry McPeak, of Van Buren County, J. Brent McPeak, of Rock Island, Vanessa Panter, of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Mr. McPeak’s wishes, he was cremated. A private family inurnment was held at Mt. View Cemetery, in Warren County, Tennessee.
High Funeral Home, in McMinnville, was in charge of arrangements.
