Margaret “Peggy” Collins Grodzki, of Whiting, New Jersey, entered

eternal rest, on June 5, 2024, at Ocean Medical Center, in Brick, New Jersey, at the age of 82.

Peggy grew up in Harrison, New Jersey, before relocating to Howell, New Jersey, to raise her children. Later in life, she retired as a data technician in logistics for the United States Army, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and finally settled in Whiting, New Jersey.

She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed the beach, taking day trips, gardening, reading, music, sewing, and browsing the shops in her spare time.

Peggy will always be remembered for the kindness she showed to everyone she met, whether family, friend, or acquaintance.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Collins; her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Catrambone; and her brother, William “Billy” Collins.

Peggy is survived by her four children, Eugenia “Gina” Grodzki and Jason, of Howell, John Grodzki, of Whiting, Adam Grodzki, of Howell, Elizabeth “Bet” Grodzki, of Tennessee; her four grandchildren, Melissa Wingert, of Toms River, Coryell Bogan, of California, Robert Bruce and Laurel, of Oregon, Michael Bruce, of Tennessee; and her beloved cat, Fred.

A memorial gathering will be 4-7 p.m., Oct. 4, 2024, at D’Elia Funeral Home, Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood, New Jersey. Fr. Anthony Lipari will officiate a memorial service at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a memorial mass at 10:45 a.m., Oct. 5, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting, New Jersey.

Peggy’s ashes will be interred in a niche at the chapel following the mass.
