Tonya Roxanne Johnson Maynard, affectionately known to family and friends as “Rocky,” age 58, of Algood and a native of Sparta, passed away June 18, 2024, at her residence.
Rocky was born Sept. 9, 1965, in Sparta, to Paul Thomas and Geneva Hawkins Johnson.
She worked alongside her parents in many of their various businesses. She loved spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, and growing flowers. Rocky loved life and all it had to offer, especially her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Paul Johnson.
Survivors include her two sons, Tyler Maynard, Clint Maynard; daughter, Nicole Maynard; grandchild, Jayden Maynard; sister, Lori Hampshire; nephews, Zachary Hampshire, Rob Johnson; and niece, Shelby Johnson Robbins.
In honor of Rocky’s wishes, Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with her cremation, and a private family service will be conducted at a later date.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
