Power outage will not affect opening of schools

From Kurt Dronebarger, director of White County schools:

"Power outages exist in the City of Sparta this morning (Jan. 17). However, schools will be open unless otherwise announced. Crews hope to have the problem corrected early this morning. Temperatures are mild, and schools have food and running water. We have full confidence that we can educate students in a safe and healthy environment under these circumstances."
