How we should talk

Talking is a very  important part of life.  Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment for by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. James says the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity, so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and sitteth on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire in hell. But the tongue can no man tame, it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we bless God even the father, and curse men, which are made in the similitude of God. These things ought not to be. Proverbs  says A word fitly (well-expressed) is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

Timothy was told to reprove, rebuke, and exhort people to do God`s will. Proverbs, you have placed God`s word aside as nothing and will not listen to my reproof or correction.  God will teach me to let my heart remember his words of power and truth to keep his commandments and live and study God`s words of wisdom and understand by loving all men. Forsake not God`s wisdom which will preserve mankind.  Wisdom of God is glorious beyond all the earth. It will never fade away if kept in remembrance. James asks who is a wise man with knowledge of God and man? Let that man show out of a good conversation his righteous works of faith with meekness and wisdom. This wisdom that is from God is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, (we are to be gentle unto all men) and easy to be entreated (he listens to us), full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and hypocrisy. Words of wisdom comes from a study of the Bible.

I have talked to people that say they have never read the Bible. Proverbs whoso that loveth instruction or correction loveth knowledge and searches for it, but he that hateth reproof (correction) is a fool. Why would anyone hate words of wisdom from the father of wisdom? Wisdom comes with precious experience. Often the experience with the most pain is where much wisdom is gained (like learning how to drive a nail into wood with a hammer) the more it hurts the more wisdom gained. But if the nail is never driven then man never gains wisdom. The words of gossip make terrible wounds in man and they go down into the most inner parts of man. Often these wounds are hard to heal, choose your words carefully. Keep thy heart (mind) with all carefulness, for out of it comes the words of hurt or healing. Apply thyself to kindness, gentleness, humility, honesty, with mercy giving to the hurting and sinful and the lost.

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child but the rod with (love thy neighbor as thyself) of  correction shall drive it far, far from him. Never apply the rod of correction with too much anger, lest you make the child even worse. Chasten thy son while there is hope, and the crying might be the beginning of a new way of thinking. A man of  great wrath (anger), let him suffer the consequences. If you get him out of trouble, you will have to do it again and again. Children do not learn properly if the consequences of their actions are always removed. The name of the Lord (Jesus) is a strong tower where the righteous (Christians) run into and are safe. Like Noah the righteous was safe in the ark. Today people are added to the church and the gates of hell can not touch them.
