Ben Brogden is a senior at White County High School and is finishing up his final season playing as a Warrior in tennis.
Brogden began playing tennis in his junior year. He talked about what drew him to play the sport. “I decided to play tennis because of the tight-knit community, great friends and coaching staff, and the love for racket sports.”
Over his years as a Warrior, he has a combined total of 15-1 for singles and 15-5 for doubles.
In Brogden’s junior year, he went 9-1 for singles and 7-3 for doubles. So far in his senior year, he has gone 6-0 in singles and 6-2 in doubles.
In his final year as a Warrior, Brogden spoke about his favorite memory. “My favorite memory of playing tennis was playing doubles with Solomon Hawkins, and we beat our opponents 8-1 after they told us they were going to beat us badly.”
When he is not on the tennis court, Brogden is involved in FFA, Beta, and he is the student council senior class president, which he has been a part of since middle school. He is also active in the youth group at First Baptist Church.
Brogden was named Suma Cum Laude in the Class of 2026, graduating with a 3.9-4.0 GPA. He was also one of the few from White County High School who attended Boys’ State over the past summer at Tennessee Tech.
After he graduates, Brogden plans to attend Tennessee Tech University to study civil engineering.
Brogden will continue to represent White County well during his time at Tennessee Tech as he gets his undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
