WCHS volleyball team on a winning streak

In a display of skill and determination, the White County Middle School Warriorette volleyball team, under the guidance of head coach Kayleigh Baska, secured two impressive victories in recent matches.

On Aug. 15, the Warriorettes faced off against Cumberland County, showcasing their prowess with a commanding performance. The team cruised to a 25-15 win in the first set. They ground out another victory in set two, with a score of 25-21 to take the math 2-0.

 Katelyn Howard had an outstanding performance with 5 aces and 2 digs. Kaylin Cunningham added another 3 aces and a pair of digs to the scorecard, and AlliBeth Stebing contributed with 2 kills and an ace. Mallori Swindell got on the books with 2 aces, 3 digs, and a kill of her own while Ava Elrod had a pair of kills, and Harper Broyles added one more.

In their previous match, on Aug. 8, against Upperman, the Warriorettes earned a hard-fought victory. White County displayed resilience and teamwork, securing a close win in Set 1, with a score of 27-25, followed by a dominant performance in Set 2, with a score of 25-15.

 Howard showcased her defensive skills with 2 digs, while Cunningham recorded 4 of the same. Stebing was hot on offense with both a kill and an ace, and Swindell showed her versatility with 2 kills, 3 aces, and a pair of digs.
