WCHS Academic Spotlight

Jack Bouldin is a familiar voice in White County. The White County High School student has been commentating Warrior basketball games this season as a member of Warrior Media, and the experience has given him plenty to think about concerning his future.

Bouldin is making plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University, in Murfreesboro, after he graduates but hasn’t quite set his mind on which of two career paths he plans to pursue: sports broadcasting or becoming an airline pilot.

“Working for The Expositor as a sports broadcaster along with getting to take a flight lesson has begun to prepare me for whichever career I decide to go into,” he said, adding that he isn’t concerned about not having made a decision as of yet. “I believe one of my best personal strengths is adaptability. Whether it be in the workforce, school, or sports, I can adapt and overcome new challenges.”

Bouldin’s positivity is appreciated by his peers as well as the White County High School faculty.

“Jackson Bouldin is one of our top WCHS students.  The administration, faculty and his peers all hold him in very high regard.  His positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor make our school a better place,” Keith Brown, a social studies teacher at White County High School, said. “He will be very successful in whatever he decides to do in the future.”

In addition to being very involved in the high school’s A/V program as a member of Warrior Media, Bouldin also serves on the Student Council. As a member of the Warriors’ Tennis team, he is the number 2 ranked player on the men’s team and one-half of the number one ranked doubles team.

Bouldin said whatever his future may bring and whatever he may do after he leaves WCHS, he has one ultimate goal, “I hope people look at me and see someone who puts Christ first and is willing to serve others.”
