WCHS Warrior Marching Band performs at halftime show at 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl

While the holiday season winds down for some, for the Warrior Marching Band, the weekend did not end with Christmas.

Early Dec. 27, the WCHS Warrior Marching Band traveled to Orlando, Florida, to perform for the halftime show in the 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl. They were part of a larger group consisting of seven bands across the entire US.

The Marching Band arrived early in the morning, just in time for rehearsals as the sun was still rising. Just like the other bands, they would continue to perfect their show in time for the game later that evening.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl (do not let its name deceive you) is a huge, annual college football game at the Camping World Stadium. It has held other names in the past, with Cheez-It Bowl being the name back in the early 2020s. Regardless of the name, the event has had a large attendance rate each year, with last year having around 38,000 attendees. That is a big stadium - and bigger crowd - for our humble Warrior Marching Band. The two college teams facing off were Georgia Institute of Technology and Brigham Young University.
