The White County Middle School Warriorette basketball team secured their fourth victory of the season, defeating the Warren County Lady Pioneers 42-2, on Oct. 29. This win keeps the Warriorettes undefeated as they continue to dominate their competition, behind an explosive offensive and solid defense.

The game, played on the road at Warren County, started with a tightly contested first quarter. The Lady Pioneers came out strong, taking an early lead and finishing the quarter ahead at 14-11. White County struggled to find their rhythm initially.

The Warriorettes quickly regrouped, finding their groove and outscoring Warren County 14-2 in the quarter. The shift in momentum was led by Kenley Frazier who began to light up the scoreboard to help White County grab a solid 25-18 lead going into half time.

The third quarter maintained the intensity, and the Warriorettes continued to build on their lead. With strong contributions from various players, including Harper Broyles with 7 points and Taylor Hensley adding 8, White County increased their advantage to 37-24 by the end of the third quarter.

In the final quarter, the Warriorettes’ defense shone brightly. They effectively shut down Warren County’s offense, allowing just 2 points in the quarter. Head coach Marsha Jackson’s emphasis on defensive fundamentals paid off, as the team executed their game plan flawlessly.

“Kenley Frazier was on fire and hit four 3’s,” Jackson said after the game, “but our defense played unbelievable in the second half. Warren County only scored 8 points the entire second half.”

The contributions from the entire roster were pivotal in this victory. Elin McDonald and Abi Hutson chipped in with 2 points each, while Lenzi Golden added 5 points.

The depth of the Warriorette lineup continues to be a significant advantage for the White County team, allowing them to maintain high energy levels throughout the game.
