White County High School will be celebrating football homecoming, Oct. 6-10. This year’s theme is “Warriors in Wonderland,” inspired by the classic, “Alice in Wonderland.”

“Homecoming is always one of the most exciting times of the year, and this year’s theme, Warriors in Wonderland, is all about bringing our school together,” Will Walker, student council president, said. “With fun dress-up days, games, and events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. While the goal is for everyone to have fun, it’s also about uniting as one student body and showing our school spirit. We can’t wait to see everyone come together and cheer on the Warriors in the big game against DeKalb!”

Several activities are planned for the week, including a volleyball tournament, dodgeball tournament, and powder puff football and cheerleading. This year, to allow more community participation, powderpuff football and cheerleading will take place 6 p.m., Oct. 8.

The event is being sponsored by Warriorette flag football team and serves as a fundraiser for their team.  Admission will be $5. WCHS hopes the community will come out to watch the games and support flag football.

The CTE department will be hosting their annual Drive Your Tractor to School event, on Oct. 9, with a car and tractor show scheduled for that afternoon. The homecoming parade will be 6 p.m., Oct. 9. The route for this year’s parade will be: Start at WCHS front parking lot, up Breeding Drive, Right on North Spring; Right on Bockman; Right on Hampton Drive; Right on Polk Street; Left on Allen Drive; End at WCHS front parking lot. Grand marshal for the parade will be WCHS alum and honored Warrior running back Dewayne Marcus (Class of 1984). Homecoming festivities will end with the football game and halftime ceremony.

During halftime, WCHS will recognize senior superlatives, clubs, and sports, and present the 2025 homecoming court. Homecoming queen, Allison Wallace says, “I am beyond excited that I have been elected the 2025 White County High School homecoming queen. I am so thankful that I have been given this honor and opportunity to represent WCHS, on Oct. 10th, and make memories that will last a lifetime!”
