The White County Middle School Warriors rebounded from their recent loss to secure an impressive 5-3 win over Stone Memorial, in an action-packed soccer match. The game, played in Sparta, gave the Warriors a chance to end the week on a positive note after having lost to a great team from DeKalb County earlier in the week.
Leading the charge for the Warriors was Brenam Sandlin, who was an offensive force, finding the back of the net four times. Micah Hogg added to the scoreboard with one goal, while Braxton Jones played a pivotal role by providing two key assists.
“We are not as strong defensively as I would like, but we are having steady improvement each match and that’s all I can ask for,” Warrior head coach Justin Rittenberry said, acknowledging areas in which his team could stand to improve while also praising their work ethic. “We’ve got a tough stretch of matches coming up, but I think we can compete and get some positive results from them.”
