Wright recognized for excellence in JROTC

White County JROTC would like to recognize one Cadet that is graduating, in 2025, that has displayed the morale, discipline, and dedication needed to be successful and a great leader for the entire command. Cadet Major Truman Wright is being selected by his cadets and teachers for exhibiting all the core values required to be an effective leader in JROTC.

During his four years in JROTC, Cadet Wright has had many different roles. He started as a regular cadet and was quickly promoted through the ranks to what is the 2nd highest position in JROTC, Executive Officer. Cadet Wright had to be the best of the best in order to ascend to this rank. It was not easy, but he was able to handle all types of adversity and mental toughness throughout his four years. Some of the roles Cadet Wright had in JROTC was Company Commander, Platoon Leader, and Executive Officer. Although he did a superb job in everything he was asked to do, Cadet Wright’s true passion was being in Raider all four years, including the last three years as the Raider Commander.

The Raider Team has been an active part of the White County JROTC program for the past four years. The cadets compete in rigorous tasks with other schools across the Southeast. These events are teambuilding tasks in nature that require the entire team to work together to succeed at a particular obstacle. Cadet Wright was a true leader. He was able to bring the team together to work proficiently in every event. He was there to guide and motivate them at every turn, ensuring they worked together. His abilities were one of the direct reasons he was given this position for three straight years.

In conclusion, it is with great honor that we recognize Truman Wright. He is a bright, articulate, and a motivated young man that has definitely left his impression on the JROTC program. Wright will succeed in anything he sets his mind to, and we are honored to select him as our outstanding senior. We know he will be successful when he begins his Army career, in August.
