It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aidan James Linville, who left this world Aug. 18, 2024, at the age of 13, following a tragic car accident.

Aidan was born July 5, 2011, in El Dorado, Kansas, to John Linville and Heather Kemmerly.

In 2019, Aidan moved to Sparta, Tennessee, with his father, where he stepped into an amazing community that welcomed and loved him, and everyone fostered his growth.

Aidan was a bright and adventurous young man who lived life to the fullest. He was known for his infectious laughter, kind heart, and boundless energy. On his family’s farm, he developed a deep love for animals, especially the goats and nature, spending countless hours exploring outside. He loved his dog, Bear, and slept with him each night.

Aidan was an active member of his church and his local Boy Scout Troop 128, where he formed lifelong friendships and deepened his passion for God and the outdoors. Like most 13-year-old boys, he didn’t always love school. He faced struggles like most middle school students, but Aidan displayed incredible tenacity and resilience. He would get up every morning, determined to go to school with a smile on his face.

Aidan shared many special moments with his cousins, each creating memories that will be cherished forever. Jackson fondly remembers how Aidan made all their games more fun and exciting. Dylan loved their epic Nerf gun battles, which were a highlight of their time together. Kayla fondly remembers Aidan allowing her to practice her makeup skills on him with his sister Chloe, though he would never let them take his picture. We wonder why? And Hannah recalls how much she loved playing zombie apocalypse with him, creating imaginary adventures that felt all too real. These joyful memories are a testament to Aidan’s playful and loving nature, and they will be treasured by his family always.

Aidan’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a devoted son, nephew, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Aidan is survived by his father, John Linville, and mother, Heather Kemmerly; his sisters, Randi Hansen [Jake], Chloe Linville, and Averi Breedlove; his grandparents, Marvin and Diann Linville, James and Holly Kemmerly, and Carolyn Brown-Kemmerly; and beloved aunt and uncle, Alicia and Jeff Roberts; and cousins, Ethan, Landin, Kayla, Dylan, Jackson, and Hannah.

A Celebration of Life for Aidan was held at White County High School, on Aug. 25, 2024, at 2 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Aidan Linville Memorial Fund, at First National Bank, in Sparta.

Aidan’s family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this incredibly difficult time. He will forever be remembered for his joy, love, and the light he brought into the world.
