Body found in Putnam County has been identified

A 40-year-old Putnam County man’s body has been found floating in the water near Hickey Boat Ramp.

According to a Jan. 18 press release issued by Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Dustin Buttram, an agent with TWRA, was on a training mission with TWRA agent Colby Griffin, on Center Hill Lake, near Hickey Boat Ramp, in Putnam County.

Buttram reportedly informed Putnam County Sheriff’s Office officials he had located a body floating in the water near Hickey Boat Ramp. Putnam County Criminal Investigation Division responded and took over the investigation.

According to the press release, the victim has been identified as 40-year-old Spencer Harville, of Putnam County. Spencer had a last known address of Baxter. Spencer’s vehicle was also found and identified near the boat ramp.

PCSO Criminal Investigation Division is conducting an investigation as to what occurred that led to Harville’s death. Harville’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office, in Nashville, for an autopsy.
