White County Heritage Museum receives grant

The Tennessee General Assembly funded a direct appropriation grant in the 2023-2024 Appropriations Act for the amount of $5 million to the State Museum “for the sole purpose of providing grants to museums for capital and improvements”.

 The White County Heritage Museum has been selected to receive funding in the amount of $35,500.  The funding will be used to replace the doors of the museum to make them handicap accessible, also the bathroom will be enlarged to make it handicap-accessible. The outside of the building is also scheduled to be painted.
