I am pleased to announce an exciting new initiative aimed at supporting and promoting our local businesses. Alongside our city administrator, Tonya Tindle, we have devised a plan to highlight the diverse range of

enterprises that make up the vibrant tapestry of our community.

Introducing the “Business of the Week” program.

Our mission is simple yet impactful: to personally visit each business within Sparta, to engage with owners and employees, and to showcase their offerings through social media and our official website. This endeavor not only strengthens our connection with local businesses but also provides a platform for our community to discover and appreciate the wealth of services available right here in Sparta and White County.

During our visits, we’ll capture the essence of each business through photographs and possibly videos, crafting a brief presentation that encapsulates their unique offerings and contributions to our city. This content will be shared widely, amplifying the visibility of our local entrepreneurs and fostering greater engagement within our community.

The program kicked off Feb. 19, with a new business spotlighted every Sunday or Monday thereafter. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring every business has its moment to shine before we begin the cycle anew.

We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with each and every one of you in the coming weeks. Together, let’s celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship that defines our beloved Sparta.
