Minute with The Mayor

What a great time to be a White County Warrior!

Our White County High School football team has given our community something special to celebrate this season, finishing the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record! Ten games, ten victories, and a season filled with hard work, determination, teamwork, and Warrior pride!

Now the excitement continues as our Warriors head into the TSSAA State Playoffs this Friday night, November 6, right here at Warrior Stadium, where they will host Signal Mountain High School. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.

As Mayor of Sparta, I want to congratulate our players, coaches, and everyone involved in this outstanding accomplishment. An undefeated season doesn't just happen. It takes countless hours of practice, sacrifice, discipline, and a commitment to one another. These young men have represented White County with class, determination, and a never-give-up attitude. We are proud of each and every one of you!

But Friday nights in Sparta are about much more than football.

I also want to recognize our White County High School cheerleaders, who bring energy, excitement, and enthusiasm to every game. Week after week, these young ladies are on the sidelines encouraging our Warriors and leading our fans in showing their school spirit. Their dedication and hard work are an important part of what makes Friday nights so special.

And how about our White County High School Warrior Marching Band! In my opinion, we have one of the finest high school marching bands in the entire state of Tennessee! From the music in the stands to the outstanding performances on the field, our band adds something special to the atmosphere of Warrior Stadium. These talented students, along with their directors and supporters, deserve tremendous recognition for the countless hours they put into making our school and community proud.

When you put it all together — our football team, cheerleaders, marching band, student body, and loyal Warrior fans — you have something that makes White County special. It is more than a football game. It is a community coming together, supporting our young people, and taking pride in the place we call home.

This Friday night, I want to encourage everyone in Sparta and White County to come out, fill Warrior Stadium, wear your maroon and gray, and make some noise! Let's give our Warriors a true home-field advantage as they begin their journey through the state playoffs.

To our players, remember that while a 10-0 record is a tremendous accomplishment, there is still work to be done. Stay focused, stay humble, play together, and leave everything you have on that football field. You've already made your community proud, and we will be cheering you on every step of the way.

Ten wins. Zero losses. One community standing behind you!

Let's keep this special season rolling!

GO WARRIORS!

Be Safe, Finish Strong, God Bless.
