Minute with the Mayor

The City of Sparta is partnering with the Rotary Club to present our annual Christmas parade.  This year’s theme will be a Tennessee Christmas. 

One change we have made this year is the tree-lighting ceremony and the parade will all be on the same day.  December 9th will be a great day in Sparta. 

The parade will begin at 3 p.m.  We will then make our way across town and enjoy the tree-lighting ceremony at the amphitheater on the square.  There will be many activities to take part in on the square once the parade has ended.

Be getting your float ideas and plans ready to make this one of the best parades in history.  December 9, at 3 p.m., is the start time and date.  The tree lighting time is tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m.
