On Nov. 4, 2022, at approximately 5 p.m., a single-engine, two-passenger aircraft made an offsite rough emergency landing in the Mt. Carmel Church Road area.
The crash was off airport property with no injuries reported. The crash site and aircraft have been turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board for investigation. Other details will follow as they become available.
Agencies responding to the scene were White County Office of Emergency Management, North End Volunteer Fire Department, White County Sheriff’s Office, Sparta-White County Rescue Squad, Erlanger Rapid Response, and White County Emergency Medical Service.
