The WCHS Warriorette softball team honored the late Glenn “Buckshot” Sims, on April 17, at the field named in his honor. To make the night even better, the Warriorettes pulled off a 7-2 win over the division leading Upperman Lady Bees.
The Warriorettes had a busy week on the diamond after a rain-filled previous week had kept them out of a lot of action. The White County softball team played four district games last week, winning three of them.
“I think our team is really striving in the right direction,” head coach Jerry Roberts said.
The Warriorettes now sit in third place with a 5-3 record.
