The White County Middle School basketball teams will be hosting sectional games this coming Thursday, Feb. 1, and would like to fill the gym with Warrior and Warriorette fans as they attempt to advance to the semi-final round of the sectional tournament.

The WCMS Warriorettes finished the season as the number two spot before having a head-to-head game with Macon County, on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Warriorettes' 46-27 gave them the number one seed as they head into the second round of the sectionals this week where they will host West Wilson out of Mt. Juliet.

The Warriors also defeated Macon County by a score of 49-28, earning the number one seed and setting up a second-round home game against Gladeville Middle School.

The Warriorettes will tip off at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, with the boys' game taking place right after the girls' game ends.

Warriorettes head coach Marsha Jackson said that having the home crowd in attendance and supporting the girls would create an electric atmosphere, and to make things even more fun for both the fans and the teams, WCMS has declared the game a “White Out." They are asking all Sparta fans to wear white to the game so that the players can see how well supported they are throughout the community, and, of course, they want the fans to get loud!
