White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson has been appointed to LaunchTN as a representative of city or county governments.

“In the thorough, aggressive search for candidates, your [Robinson] characteristics and professional qualifications were exceptional among the number of nominees who expressed interest,” Gov. Bill Lee said.

According to the website, “LaunchTN is a public-private partnership that supports entrepreneurship and economic development with a goal to make Tennessee the best state in the country for startups. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit we are uniquely positioned to provide direct investment, while also supporting collaboration among founders, investors, researchers, private sector institutions and government. We foster entrepreneurship, technology advancement and workforce development through capital access, commercialization, mentorship, marketing, and partnerships.”

Robinson has been a member of the Board of Directors for LaunchTN for several years, and this appointment will keep him in that position until June 30, 2027.

“I consider it very important to ensure that Tennessee’s boards and commissions are filled with the most dedicated and qualified citizens,” Gov. Lee said.
