White County Sheriff’s Office was recently provided a Georgia county department with assistance in locating a subject they had listed as a fugitive from justice.

On Aug. 24, 2022, White County Sheriff Steve Page received a call from Sheriff Kris Coody, of Bleckley County, in Georgia. Coody informed Page that a male subject who was believed to be residing in White County was wanted on a felony warrant out of Georgia. Capt. Nate Theiss, of White County Sheriff’s Office, received a similar call from U.S. Marshal Josh Reams who had information on the subject’s location within White County.

Theiss, along with Lt. Blankenship and Maj. John Meadows, went to the location given and were able to locate the subject. Kevin Billbe, who was listed as the subject on the warrant, was arrested without incident. Billbe was charged with fugitive from justice and taken into custody.

On Sept. 2, Sheriff Coody traveled to White County to extradite Billbe to Bleckley County, Georgia.
