White County volunteer fire departments assist Warren County with wildland fire

On Oct. 24, 2022, eight members from the Mt. Gilead Volunteer Fire Department, Doyle Volunteer Fire Department, Hickory Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and White County Office of Emergency Management responded with two brush trucks, a water tender, and a support vehicle to Warren County near the Sequatchie County line, off Highway 8, for a large wildland fire. Members worked on strengthening and reinforcing fire lines in an effort to protect homes and structures in the area.
