Dale Farley named to WVU Sports Hall of Fame

On Aug. 1, 2021, West Virginia University announced that Sparta’s very own Dale Farley has been inducted into WVU Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2021.

Farley, who passed away June 13, 2019, played for WVU 1968-1970, and proved to be a leader of some stout Mountaineer defenses that led WVU to a 10-1 record and Peach Bowl victory in 1969, according to the WVU website. (By Kim Swindell Wood)
