Coach Kellie Jolly Harper got her first signature win against ranked Notre Dame, in South Bend, Indiana, on Monday Night. The Lady Vols outrebounded the Fighting Irish 55-28.

Rennia Davis hit five three-pointers and scored 33 points in the win.  Harper commented in a press conference after the win.

“Rennia Davis is really talented, and she is one we really want to get shots for,” she said.

When asked how satisfying this win is for Coach Harper, she responded by saying, “Going into the game, shoot-around, film sessions, and talking through scouting reports, our players were so locked in, and I wanted it so bad for them.  They were giving everything they had, and, earlier in the day, I got emotional because I wanted it so bad for them.”

Harper expressed how proud she was of the team.  The Lady Volunteers move to 3-0 on the season.  The Lady Vols take to the court at home, on Thursday night, to play Tennessee State University, at 6 p.m.
