Jimmy C. Scott, better known as Jimburr, age 75, of Sparta, passed away Oct. 5, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
Jimburr was born April 14, 1949, in Sparta, to Jimmy and Mollie Lorene Turrington Scott.
He was a logger in his family’s business of Scott’s Logging. Jimburr will be fondly remembered as an avid guitar player, and he also taught many people how to play.
Survivors include his daughter, Angie Brown and husband Tim; son, Tim Scott; grandchildren, Talon Brown, Dillon Brown; siblings and their spouses, Charlie and Verna Scott, Ava and Rick Mahler, Brenda and William Trute, Glenda and David Zuber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., Oct. 8, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
Charlie Scott, Barry Scott, David Zuber Sr. David Zuber Jr., Bryan Scott, and Matthew Scott served as pallbearers.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
