Warriorettes are victorious over DeKalb County 83-29

 The White County High School Warriorettes started off strong in the first quarter and never looked back as they took on DeKalb County, on Dec. 14

 Dekalb County took a timeout, with 3:38 left in the first quarter after the Warriorettes built a 14-2 lead. The Warriorettes would outscore the Lady Tigers 13 to 3 to finish and remain in control 27 to 5 after one quarter of play.

Celeste Reed hit a three-pointer to extend the Warriorettes’ lead 30 to 7, with 5:25 in the second quarter. The Warriorettes continued their dominance as they extended their lead 38 to 8, with four minutes left in the quarter.  Alaina Stiles and Nia Powers hit back-to-back threes, with 1:55 left in the half. As time expired in the first half, Pyper Price hit a layup. The Warriorettes led 46 to 10 at halftime.

Celeste Reed started the second half scoring for the Warriorettes as she drove in for a layup. The Warriorettes led 51 to 12, with 5:25 left in the third. Lexi Golden would score the next five points with a two-pointer followed by a three. She extended the lead for the Warriorettes 56 to 12, with fou minutes left in the quarter. Alaina Stiles would drained a three to extend their lead 59 to 18, with 2:25 left. Pyper Price attempted two free throws and hit them both. Karley Gentry hit a three, with 40 seconds as the Warriorettes led 64 to 22. Ava Jones showed how strong the defense is as she blocked a three-point attempt. The Warriorettes led 64 to 24 after three quarters.

The Warriorettes continued to dominate the fourth quarter as they scored 19 points. K.B. Fraizer started off the quarter with a three-pointer. Piper Price would follow that with a layup. Bella Stiles added four points with a layup and two free throws a couple of minutes after. Kennedy Billings-Sullivan would hit a three, with under two minutes left. Karley Wilhite added to the total with a free throw. Finally, as time expired, Brayden Taylor hit a layup. The Warriorettes kept a dominant defensive performance that gave them an 83 to 29 victory. The Warriorettes move to 8-1 on the year and 2-0 in region play.
